Tweetings Mobile for the iPhone and iPod Touch
For normal use of Tweetings we never need your Twitter account password, we simply use the secure oAuth proceedure on the Twitter website to login you in.
However to make use of Push Notifications you'll need to give Tweetings your account password to check for updates on your behalf. If you're not comfortable with that, you can still use Tweetings just not with push notifications.
We send your password over a secure SSL connection to our servers so that we can monitor your message counts and push the details to your iPhone automatically on your behalf. This system is automated and we treat your privacy very seriously, and we promise to keep your account information secure.
To remove your account information all you have to do is delete the password from the Tweetings settings, we'll stop updating... it's that simple!
In addition to this we also store store your information in an encrypted state.
We also monitor Apple's feedback servers, and if you uninstall Tweetings, we'll automatically remove your account information from our databases. In addition, if you don't load Tweetings for more than 14 days, we'll automatically suspend push notifications and remove your account details. To re-enable push after 14 days, simply load Tweetings as normal!
